Lady Auger - Blueberry Maple Cocktail

Lady Auger - Blueberry Maple Cocktail

We've been having a lot fun experimenting with cocktail recipes lately, mixing up all manner of libations using fresh herbs from the garden and seasonal fruit from the market.  Happy hour never tasted so good!  This uniquely Nova Scotian cocktail recipe comes from the good folks at PURE Infused maple syrup.  PURE is one of my all time favorite local products, it's incredibly versatile and a lot of fun to play with in the kitchen.

To make four frosty beverages, you'll need:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add the maple syrup, juices, and gin.  Cover, and give the mixture a good shake to thoroughly combine all of the ingredients.  To serve, strain the mixture into four champagne flutes and top each with 2-3oz of Prosecco.

If you'd rather forego the bubbles, just omit the Prosecco and serve the cocktails over ice.

The Lavender Chai Infused syrup is particularly nice when paired with berries, it adds a touch of exotic spice and just a hint of a floral note, it's unexpected and simply delicious.

Try these simple recipes for Maple Panna Cotta or No-Bake Fruit Tarts and you'll see what I mean.
